I went over the key elements of the Knowledge Requirements that we're working with and that you'll want to demonstrate an understanding of on the upcoming paper assignment. We discussed how an understanding of processes of change can be connected with the topic of women getting the vote.
We did a short "put the time periods in order" exercise. Week 42, you will need to lay these periods out on a time line -- and this will be individual. So work with this material so that you have a general understanding of where the following time periods fall:
Middle Ages
printing press
Renaissance
Protestant Reformation
Scientific Revolution
Enlightenment
Industrialization
You gave feedback regarding the Eurp. Histories project plus a few other questions. And Sa2 saw part of the following TedTalk. I discussed briefly how material such as this sociological research can be seen to be relevant to historical processes of change (specifically regarding economy and political power).
