We had only one lesson this week. For Sa, it was on Tuesday; for Ek, it was on Friday.
We began working in larger groups on timelines mapping out general developments in Europe from the time of the Roman Republic until until the 18th century regarding political rule and power, economics, religion, and literacy.
These are to be finished during class on Monday.
Each group has a print-out of the answers to the Section Questions and the entries in the "Processes of Change" table. These documents are also available on Vklass (under European Histories). But you should also make use of the people in your group to help understand changes that have occurred over time. You may even ask questions of people in other groups. And, of course, you should use me when you have questions you can find answers to or when you need to discuss an idea.
On Thursday we will start discussing some of the issues you have presented in your answers so that we can get a more coherent sense of change in Europe -- particularly from the last 600 years.
One of the things I'm going to expect to be able to master is a general outline of European development, using the general time periods we've worked with here. I'll give you more information to you about this on Thursday.
